If your vehicle has lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, or any of the other Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the windshield is more than a piece of glass. It’s the mounting surface for the cameras and sensors that make those systems work. Replacing it is more involved than it used to be, and getting the calibration right matters. What changes when ADAS is involved On older vehicles, a windshield replacement was straightforward. On newer ones, the camera behind the glass has to be removed during the install and recalibrated afterward. If the calibration is wrong, the safety system can misread the road, brake when it shouldn’t, or fail to brake when it should. Our approach Every one of our technicians is ADAS certified and AGSC Dupont certified. We use OEE or OEM quality glass with the correct mounting points for your camera. We perform static and dynamic calibrations in-house, so you don’t have to drive to a dealership for a second appointment. Insurance and warranty Calibration is included as part of the windshield replacement when your vehicle requires it. Comprehensive insurance covers the work in almost all cases, and we file the claim for you. Every install is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty. Call 502-709-8693 to schedule.
FAQ
Does my vehicle have ADAS?
Most cars built after 2018 have at least one ADAS feature. Your owner’s manual will list which systems are present.
Can I drive after the replacement before calibration?
We recommend completing the calibration before driving any significant distance. The safety systems may give false warnings or fail to engage until recalibrated.
Is calibration extra?
No, it’s included in the price of the replacement.
