A heated windshield uses fine wires or a conductive coating inside the glass to clear frost, fog, and ice. Some vehicles only heat the wiper rest area at the bottom of the windshield. Others heat the entire surface. Either way, the connection from the vehicle’s wiring to the glass has to be reattached carefully during a replacement. What we do We use OEE or OEM quality glass with the correct heating elements and electrical connection points. The wiring harness is reseated and the system is tested before the vehicle leaves our shop. If the heating wasn’t working before the replacement, tell us when you schedule so we can check whether the issue is in the glass or the vehicle’s wiring. Common vehicles with heated windshields Ford has used wiper park heaters on many F-150s and other models. Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar, and some Volvo models use full-surface heating. Several newer trucks and SUVs include heated windshields as part of cold weather packages. Call 502-709-8693 to schedule.
